Is it Time to Move Out of your Home Office? Here’s a Modern but Productive Office Design for You
Times have changed nowadays. A lot of employees and entrepreneurs operate out of a home office. This setup works for a lot of people. It keeps the cost down. It keeps you closer to your family. It works…in the beginning.
However, time will come when it’s time for you to move out of your home office and into a real office. This article will let you know when it’s time to move on and will provide you with a modern but productive office design.
We’ll tell you the story of Roaring Web Solutions which is the parent company of Hello Lipa – Lipa City’s first and biggest lifestyle blog. We’ll tell you how its founders Jayzar and Aisha Recinto operated out of a home office for 7 years before moving into a real office this year.
When it’s Time to Move On
Growth is the number one determining factor. Take Roaring Web Solutions for example. It’s the parent company of Hello Lipa – Lipa City’s first and biggest lifestyle blog. Since 2012, the company has been operating out of the home office of its founders – Jayzar and Aisha Recinto. For years, it was just the husband and wife team. A couple of years ago, they hired an employee. Soon after that, they hired another 2 full-time employees. That propelled their growth that they needed to hire another full-time staff, bringing the total staff to 4 (6 including them).
Simply put, their home office started getting smaller and smaller for their company.
Your company has to grow for it to survive. It can’t stagnate. This includes growing physically which involves hiring more people and investing in new equipment. If you feel that your home office is now too small, it’s time to move on.
There’s also the issue of privacy. That was one of the main reasons why the Recinto couple decided to move into a real office. They felt that they’re slowly losing their family’s privacy. Their move into a real office quickly solved that.
Do you also want to look more professional? Do you want clients to take you more seriously? Having a real office can give your company an instant boost.
While a home office can be productive, most people can be more productive in a real office. There are fewer temptations. A good office design can also help boost productivity.
A Productive Office Design
Hello Lipa wanted an open office design for its staff. Hello Lipa’s productivity is built on collaboration so an open office design helps.
However, they also recognized that their employees should have their own space. This is why they have their own tables where they can work on their magic.
Jayzar’s executive assistant, tasked with the day-to-day operations of the company, has her own space where everything is within reach.
It’s also located right outside the sliding door that leads to the office of Jayzar and Aisha.
Jayzar and Aisha decided to have an office away from the production area. This allows their team to work independently. This setup also encourages them to come up with creative ideas among themselves.
The sliding door makes the office accessible to the team which allows for quick collaborations.
Since they moved into a real office, Hello Lipa is regularly visited by potential and existing clients, followers, friends, and more. This is why this conference room is proving to be handy.
With no more space for a studio, the conference room also doubles as a studio.
As you can see from their recent works, this office design is proving to be very effective. Its modern appeal is simply a bonus.
